Sensory Overload and how to cope.

Wow.

Ok.

This is like one of the few tumblr slides that have actually been useful for me.

and now i’m suddenly realizing that i get sensory overload far, far more frequently than I actually realized

Wow so that’s what that feeling is

I have mild to moderate PTSD, and I’ve tried for so long to explain what it is exactly that I’m feeling. I usually just call them panic attacks, because that was as close to to an explanation as I could come.

Thank you so so much. Saving this to show to people — now maybe they’ll understand when I say that I just can’t handle physical contact and too much noise.

Vertical Horizon in Manila 2014

I’ve always loved Vertical Horizon! We jammed and performed their songs at Battle of the Bands as teenagers and to see them perform live has got to be one of the highlights of my life to date!

We got awesome seats! Thanks Groupon!

They had their concert at Resorts World Manila last June 5, 2014. Thankfully, the company that I work for had a deal for this concert so we scored really good seats at a really good price! They sung their classic songs with a few new ones in between. Matt was spectacular. He really captured their audience’ attention with his in-between songs spiels. After one song, my friends and I decided to shout “we love you!” and he heard us! He kind of even choked on his water after that.

Audience participation! Loved it!

We got to meet the boys after the concert. Too bad we weren’t allowed to use our own cameras for selfies and all, but at least we still had that 3 minutes with them for some shots!

Definitely a scratch off my bucket list!

After the snap shots, I gave Matt the loom bracelet I made the other day. I wish I was able to take a photo with him wearing it but unfortunately, no. But I got a favorite from him when I tweeted, so I guess it’s all good!

Kilig!

Over-all, the experience was amazing. I’ve always wanted to watch them perform live and it happened! Their concert was one of those I’ve attended that I knew most of the songs. I hope they come back. I’m definitely game for another round!

Lord, grant me coffee to change the things that I can & wine to accept the things that I can’t.

Most appropriate message for today. Thanks for this, @graceiriberri!

Resurrection Asia Tour

Wow, they’re really tall. Thanks Lifetime Asia!

My awesome friend, Terri, got free passes to meet and greet Omar Epps and Kurtwood Smith last May 9th. They were here for the Asian tour of Resurrection!

Our passes for Meet&Greet and also, free popcorn from Taters!

There were a few games inside the area. And of course, an event wouldn’t be complete without a photobooth!

They had a contest with that photoobooth, too bad we didn’t win though.

The Event didn’t start on time (Filipino time, as usual) but it was awesome nonetheless. Kurtwood talked about his “Manila Traffic” experience and Omar talked about how he loved the food over at Fely J’s. Although, I would’ve appreciated it more if they asked different questions rather than what they’ve already asked the guys during the Press-con the day before.

Omar and Kurtwood talking about Resurrection.

Overall, it was an awesome night! We got our photo with them and then ate dinner afterwards (we didn’t catch the season preview since we’ve already started to watch the first few episodes earlier on. Ssshhhh don’t tell them hahaha). Thanks Lifetime Asia for bringing them in!

Got a little crazy with looming today!

I’ve tried doing the crazy patterns but I haven’t tried doing the basic one yet. Having so much fun with it though! It’s a great stress reliever.
